Hendrik XIX: throat, basses, songs

The name comes from Hendrik's name: Hendrik David Gideonse the 19th. There is a lot of pressure on Hendrik to breed.

His dad was a jazz trap set player. When Hendrik turned five he started drum lessons at the Cincinnati Conservatory. After too many unsolicited whacks on the timpani the instructor whacked Hendrik. The poor kid spent the rest of the day hiding between the xylophones and the vibes. Although the trauma lasted a while, bands like Minor Threat, 7Seconds and Token Entry inspired, and Hendrik bought a bass and joined a hard-core band.

Hendrik was a founding member of Thumper, but left the band in 1992. Hendrik has a BA and an MA in Music Composition from Tufts. He has written some pretty Romantic-sounding chamber music.
