Dissatisfied with the lack of dissent in the press and in the goverment David Wildman began to write songs protesting the eminent war in Iraq.

Sept. 19 David Wildman invites Hendrik David Gideonse XIX to attend the first performance of the music at the Lizard Lounge in Cambridge, MA.

The Flag Retirement album was recorded from Oct. 5 to Oct. 10 at Indecent Music Studios in Medford, MA.

WILDMAN is Boston-based singer-songwriter-journalist-novelist David Wildman, who has taken the anger and frustration of his work as a political columnist and channeled it into a high-powered rock music

David Wildman is joined by Shawn McLaughlin on drums and percussion, Dave Grogan, on bass guitar, Paul Lenart on electric guitars, Nadji on backing vocals and percussion and Dyamond Myndz on backing vocals. Hendrik XIX carries the production and technical needs of the group.
